NovaTec One
Advantages and properties:
- increases the nitrogen use efficiency of the plant from fertilizers and soil;
- minimizes nitrogen losses through leaching and denitrification (gaseous losses);
- acts highly specifically on NITROSOMONAS bacteria only;
- the full rate of nitrogen fertilizer can be applied in a single pass;
- increases the economic efficiency of nitrogen fertilizers;
- makes it possible to reduce nitrogen fertilizer rates by up to 15 – 20% while increasing yields;
- increases yields by up to 10% and improves product quality.

Mode of action:
When applied to the soil together with nitrogen fertilizers, NovaTec One reduces the activity of NITROSOMONAS bacteria, the first stage of nitrification, thereby slowing down nitrification and accumulating a reserve of nitrogen in the soil in the ammonium form (NH4+). Nitrification in the soil proceeds more slowly than with nitrogen fertilizers applied conventionally, and the readily available nitrate (NO3-) form of nitrogen appears in the soil gradually, in line with the plants’ physiological needs. The rate of nitrification, like the rate of plant growth and development, depends on temperature, so plants receive available forms of nitrogen when they need them most.
Effect of NovaTec One on nitrification and denitrification
Using NovaTec One when applying nitrogen fertilizers in the form of UAN-30 makes it possible to slow down nitrification and preserve mineral nitrogen in the soil, namely the plant-available ammonium form of nitrogen, which is gradually nitrified.
In addition, the activity of denitrifying bacteria is reduced, which minimizes gaseous nitrogen losses.
Using a nitrification inhibitor together with nitrogen fertilizers ensures that plants have available nitrogen when they need it most — during vegetative growth and yield formation.
